The choice to equip the wash area with a hood type dishwasher WD-6 DUPLUS and combine the hood type with a pre-rinse machine PRM was a very effective and energy saving solution for the Michelin star restaurant PM & Vänner. It saves not only consumption costs, it also saves a lot of time for the staff in the kitchen. Time that can be used to take care of customers or putting the extra touch to the dishes.

 

How does the PRM-setup work?

With a pre-rinse machine PRM, you place the dirty dishes directly in the washing baskets without doing any manual pre-rinsing. This saves a lot of water. We calculate that you save approximately 4 litres per basket when you use the pre-rinse machine instead of the manual rinsing with a spray gun. A very smart system! After the pre-rinsing is ready it is time for the dishwasher WD-6 DUPLUS to do the job. Just forward the basket with the goods into the DUPLUS-dishwasher and after a couple of minutes the goods are perfectly clean and it is time for the next basket to be washed.

 

The PRM does not use any water at all!!!!! How is that possible?

Instead of draining all the water from the final rinse in the DUPLUS dishwasher, the system takes care of the last rinse water and send it back to the pre-rinse machine PRM where the water is re-used to pre-rinse a new basket with dirty goods. Since the final rinse water still has a mix of rinse water and detergent the goods a likely to be very clean just after the pre-rinse.

 

Do the dishes when you have time

The pre-rinse PRM is very effective. You never need to do the dishes directly during lunch time or dinner. The goods will be clean even if you wait until the next day thanks to the PRM´s strong flushing features that can handle dried food residues. The patented DUPLUS system is a very effective system that saves water and energy.

 

The importance of good logistics and a perfect layout in the wash room

With the help of unloading and sorting benches, you get an efficient flow of dishware from dirty to clean side and you do not have slippery floors from the spray gun's water splash.

 

How much do I save by using the PRM together with the patented DUPLUS hood type dishwasher?

About 150 hours of work per year are saved in the kitchen and 35,000 monotonous movements disappear if you wash 100 baskets a day on average. All this time can be used for other important work in the kitchen.

 

How big is the investment of a PRM pre-rinse machine?

To install in a PRM can be a very good investment. The pay-back time is shorten than you can expect. It all depends on how many baskets you wash per day and how many days per year you are washing. To find out how fast the pay-back time is for your wash room you can do a very easy calculation with our tool but here is an example:

Example: If you wash 100 baskets a day during 300 days a year you will save 120 000 litres of fresh warm water a year!!! The payback time for a PRM 6 is then 0,6 years. After this time the PRM becomes profitable.
